Kenneth R. Bouchard, Director

Sally

Sally Augustyniak is a native Detroiter and a former teacher of the hearing impaired. She earned her undergraduate degree with a major is special education from Eastern Michigan University. After teaching hearing-impaired children in Detroit, Ms. Augustyniak enrolled in graduate school and obtained her Master's Degree in Audiology from Wayne State University. She is a member of the Cochlear Implant Team. With over 20 years experience as an audiologist she is an Assistant Director of Audiology and Electrophysiology at Michigan Ear Institute.

Paulette

Paulette McDonald received her Masters of Arts in Audiology from Wayne State University. She has worked at the Michigan Ear Institute for 17 years and currently runs the Cochlear Implant Program. To see the change that cochlear implantation can make for the severely hearing impaired is remarkable and rewarding. Mrs McDonald supervises students from various audiology graduate programs from around Michigan. She is an Assistant Director of Audiology.

Janice

Joy Madden obtained both her Bachelor's in Audiology and Speech Sciences and her Master's Degree in Audiology at Purdue University. She worked in two hospital settings in Indiana before moving to Illinois to work at the University of Chicago Hospitals. She moved to Michigan in 1998 when she joined the audiology staff at the Michigan Ear Institute. She brings over 11 years of audiological testing and hearing aid fitting experience to our practice.

Janice

Rachael Zugel received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Valparaiso University and her Master's Degree in Audiology from Purdue University. She is originally from Indiana where she worked as an audiologist in a hospital setting before joining the staff at the Michigan Ear Institute.

Janice

Paulette Patrick earned both her Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. A recent addition to the Michigan Ear Institute, Paulette has more than 20 years of experience in clinical audiology, primarily in private otolaryngology practices. She specializes in vestibular evaluation, advanced audiological testing, hearing evaluation and hearing aid fitting. Originally from Wisconsin, Paulette practiced audiology in Las Vegas, Nevada for 18 years before relocating to Michigan.
